Tip: How to clean a canvas of Korhogo

These paintings are from northern Ivory Coast in the region of Korhogo (city Senufo). These fabrics made of cotton strips sewn together represent the symbolic importance of ethnicity. The motifs are painted with wooden sticks of different sizes and natural pigments.

We advise you not to take these paintings to the machine. To clean, take a quick vacuum or clean dry slightly, by hand, could discolor the fabric.
